Years Pass, ADHD Lasts
Åren går, ADHD består: äldre får sällan diagnos och behandling
Just over 2 percent of older adults (>50 years) live with ADHD, low self-esteem, quality of life, and social connectedness, as well as a high degree of psychiatric and somatic health problems. Few studies have investigated drug treatment and non-pharmacological treatment of ADHD in the elderly, but the studies that do exist suggest good effects. It is therefore unfortunate that so few older adults with ADHD have access to assessment and treatment.
